Asked - your questions to medi

- unpaid advertising, wg. Brand Mention -

Like you in this article could already read, we were able to get a great insight into the work of medi. But above all it was important to us to include your questions in the feedback round. Here are the answers from the Phlebology Department.

Your questions to medi

Is there an alternative to compression garments for sports?

If you need more flexibility in sport, you may find it in a multi-part supply, such as B. Leggings and knee socks. CEP would be the best alternative if the compression were omitted. You can find one here Test the run tights and here is an idea other CEP products.

What's up with the colored edge?

The stained edge can occur during the staining process. The development and its characteristics depend on many factors. If this problem occurs with you, please contact your medical supply store and initiate a complaint. We are constantly working to improve here as well.

Arm stockings or bolero - which is better for me?

There is no general answer to that. We generally prefer arm socks in combination with separate gloves to treat edema on the arms. However, there are forms or professions where wearing a bolero makes sense. So if you are not satisfied with your arm socks, speak to your medical supply store about it. Boleros can be made in individual cases. Here, however, you have to be aware that the additional material over the back can also be stressful in warm weather.

Will the two-tone pattern also be available for arm socks?

Due to the huge success of the fashion elements in our Mediven 550 We feel confirmed that we should also project the research onto the arm rests. Since the skin on the arms is much more sensitive and often for mediven mondi esprit we are still working on a comfortable and attractive solution, as here.

Can you reinforce the end of the stomach and thus prevent it from falling over?

Perhaps you can counteract this by choosing a narrower closure variant. A thicker adhesive tape could press too hard or cut into the stomach. Here, too, there are individual solutions and additions that you can discuss with your medical supply store.

Are there restorations in different compression classes?

Yes there is. You can z. B. have a body part in compression class 1 and the two treatments in compression class 2 prescribed. This means that there is less pressure on the stomach, but full compression on the legs is retained. However, due to the manufacturing method, there are not yet any different compression classes in one piece. If you want to see how the production works, you can here watch the video of the backstage article on medi.

Will there also be a seamless solution?

Not yet. There is currently no adequate substitute for a flat knit solution without a seam. It enables the most individual adjustments to any type of characteristic and that has the highest priority. In the background, research is being carried out and patient feedback is being processed.

Could the seam be narrowed or produced more inconspicuously?

Our seams are particularly robust and should withstand the toughest conditions. To ensure this, a certain material thickness is required. Transparent yarn would not produce a significant result here, the knitted fabric is too intense for that.

Is there a particular reason that mediven forte is not available in any trendy colors?

Thanks for the suggestion. We are happy to include your request.

  • Hey you!
I came across you yesterday and am already looking forward to browsing through all the posts!
I thought for a long time that I might have lipedema, but it was only diagnosed a few weeks ago. My first compression arrived yesterday and it's a rollercoaster of emotions. I'll probably have to test it out, right now I'm still quite unhappy with it. The arm stockings will probably only be done in a few months, but I'm also very happy about that because I still imagine it will be pretty bad in summer. Fortunately, my symptoms are not that severe at the moment, but let's see.
So ... to make a long story short: I am happy to have found you and will be following you diligently from now on 🙂

    • Hello dear Charlotte!
Welcome "to the club" so to speak.
Funnily enough, for me it was exactly the other way around: when I stood bare-legged in front of the mirror in the medical supply store, I first shoved a few tears away. As soon as I had the compression on - completely different legs! Suddenly a shape! Especially in black I find myself (almost) pretty now.
Keep your head up - don't let it get you down. You get used to it and especially with this monkey heat I like to wear it - then the pain gets better too!
      Best regards,
      Roxana

  • Do you all wear your compression from Medi?

Before my diagnosis I had normal circular knit thigh stockings from Medi, but I was not entirely convinced of the seams on the feet.

I've been wearing Bauerfeind Curaflow since I've had flat knitting. Incidentally, as a two-part system of leggings and knee socks. Very comfortable! On not so warm days, you can even leave out knee socks in favor of sandals for a few hours 🙂
But now I'm having tights made for me ... maybe I'll find the courage to wear my dress. I still cry every time I see the legs underneath, but you all inspire me so much that I would like to overcome myself.

And one more question: do you buy the colored Kompris out of your own pocket or is it the half-yearly cash benefits? Because then you have to wait a long time for the right color when you have a chic new piece.

    Best regards,
    Roxana

    • Hello dear Roxana,

most colors can be integrated into any wardrobe with a little creativity, so be courageous! We don't all wear Medi, but also Juzo or Jobst. It is very individual which brand suits you more. 🙂

      Regards
      Caroline

  • I am basically satisfied with my Medi compression tights, but I still have after the 4th !!! Complaint the problem that they cut into the back of the knees because the knee comfort zone is not on, but far above the knee. Why is it so hard to fix this problem ???
