Fashion show
On March 11th I was allowed to walk at a small fashion show at Ulla Popken's in the Riem Arcaden in Munich. There the latest spring highlights from the current collection in combination with the latest flat knit supplies from juzo, Medi and jobst presents. Dear Melanie Nurtsch from Lymphatic had looked for models in a lipedema Facebook group in Munich and I was lucky enough to get in touch quickly enough.
The Preparations
The first fitting took place a few weeks before. There we looked for the right outfits for us together with Tanja von Ulla Popken. It was particularly important to Tanja that we feel comfortable with things and that we don't squeeze into anything that doesn't appeal to us at all. Everyone got three outfits to present, except for Christiane, who was allowed to end the show with the fourth outfit.
The countdown is running
On the actual day of the fashion show, I made my way to Munich early. When Ulla Popken arrived, all outfits were checked again and a lady from Mary Kay pimped us up for the upcoming show. When we slipped into our first outfits and slowly filled the ranks, the nervousness also increased. And by the time we knew it, it was off.
The fashion show
The nervousness was completely unjustified. The place was well filled, but the entire audience was enthusiastic and clapped loudly with every outfit. We all had a lot of fun with it, which I think can be seen in the pictures. Melanie Nurtsch moderated the presentation. She gave information about the outfits we were wearing and explained the compressions. After the end of the show, we models were available to answer questions from the audience. And the interest was really great. I was amazed at that myself. This day definitely provided a little more education. Finally, part of our group sat down for a cozy chat in a café and the day was over.
I'm still happy that I was able to be part of this event. You got to know such great personalities again and could exchange ideas with each other again. I would also like to take part in the great organization of Melanie Nurtsch from Lymphatic and Tanja von Ulla Popken thank you.

Great. It would be nice if something like this existed across Germany because we who are burdened with lip / lymph / phlebedema can use any support because our environment rarely gives it to us, not to mention doctors and health insurance companies.

these are great photos, you look great !!! I don't feel so alone right now. Don't see anyone with compression stockings for miles around here ... There are also compression leggings ??? I miss walking barefoot so much ... I would be very happy to hear from you. Vg
