Embrace - you are beautiful!

Today I want to tell you about the film Embrace. I am sure that many of you already know the film. For the women who don't know him yet - you should see him urgently. It's worth every euro! What is 10 euros for a little more self-confidence?

Unfortunately, it only ran one day in the cinema (May 11.05.2017, XNUMX). But he's been with us for a few weeks now The Amazon available on DVD.

Learn to appreciate your body

I got the DVD from my best friend with the message

"You are beautiful the way you are and learn to love and appreciate your body",

get a birthday present. She couldn't have given me a more personal gift! Because I too often struggle with my figure and keep finding spots on my body that I don't like. On some days I would like to hang a large bath towel over my mirror or put clothes one size larger. The main thing is that you don't see any bacon rolls. But I think that is how it is for most women among us. I don't know any woman who is really 100% satisfied with her body. Some feel too fat, too big, too small, too thin. But nobody is satisfied.

The greatest enemy is oneself

What is bad is that we often narrow ourselves down because of our shame and far too often do without the really nice things in life, for example a day at the lake with friends or a chic dress ... But why is that? Why are we women never at peace with our bodies and always dissatisfied? Why can't we accept our body and start liking / loving it?

An ideal for everyone

Media, advertising and society in particular give us a certain body image after we evaluate and judge ourselves and others. A body image that is not healthy and totally distorted. The Australian photographer and mother of three Taryn Brumfitt has looked for answers to many questions and has traveled around the globe once. She met women who have had their very own experience with body awareness / acceptance.

Embrace: My conclusion

I have to admit, a few tears have rolled down. The film is worth every euro. Of course you won't be able to just throw all your thinking overboard afterwards. But it will stimulate you to get a new way of thinking and feeling about your body. You will see many things from a different point of view and move a little bit accept more.

I hope the film helps one or the other woman and lets you go through life a little more liberated and easier! I've been doing it ever since.

Therefore I am writing about all my new experiences with lipedema.
