JOBST® Confidence: Compression tights without a groin seam

- Advertising -

Soft, cuddly and comfortable - sounds like the JOBST Confidence, right? I tested the flat-knit compression tights for you and was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on!

Does the name sound familiar to you? Exactly, some time ago I already got it Knee socks in the new quality from JOBST for mild and moderate lymphoedema and those affected by lipoedema and was curious to see how tights could feel.

What is special about this flat knit quality?

Compared to the previous flat knit supply, now offers the Contour Fit technology an adjustment of the compression supply at four different positions. You can tell by the small dots in the knitted fabric.

This is another special feature Body part without groin seam. In my opinion, this is a very successful alternative to the previous body part, because the seams now run along the buttocks and gusset and thus relieve the groin, which ensures a continuous pressure distribution. This solution is not only practical, but also increases the wearing comfort.

This is also noticeable soft yarn. It feels really comfortable against the skin and offers more flexibility without sacrificing support. I personally need a high wall thickness and was initially concerned that the JOBST Confidence might be too soft for me. But I was very pleasantly surprised!

The knit tends to gather in the knee. I find it exciting how little it bothers you, but if you want to be on the safe side, ask your Sanifee for advice on whether a functional zone could compensate for this in your case.

In which versions is JOBST Confidence available?

As different as our bodies are, so many different supply options are needed. The JOBST Confidence is therefore available in different length types:

Your medical supply store can tell you which constellation of a multi-part fitting or even just a one-piece fitting makes sense in your case. Just get advice there when you get a chance. You can find a suitable medical supply store for this in the Dealer search.

Conclusion: My Jobst Confidence experiences

I am absolutely positively surprised at how much support the JOBST Confidence gives me as tights and yet doesn't lose anything in terms of comfort. This flat knit quality is particularly suitable for those affected whose skin reacts to coarser knits, is looking for a snug stocking or has problems with the groin seam.

How has your experience been so far? Do you have any tips for supply or advice in the medical supply store? Feel free to write them in the comments.

I'm Caroline, born in 1989 and live in Augsburg. Why did I start the lipedema fashion blog? At the beginning of my diagnosis I was completely helpless before an uncertain future. Now, a few years later, through active participation in self-help groups and a lot of research, I have accumulated a wealth of experience that I would like to make available to other affected persons in one place - without the detour via private groups on Facebook. The fashion component is of course due to my hobby. At the time, I promised myself that I would never be restricted by compression stockings. This attitude gives other patients courage and so Michaela advised me to start a blog.

  • Are Confidence tights also available with a zip in the body part? Unfortunately, my Sanifee couldn't tell me anything about it.

  • Hello Caroline, can you explain to me what the Deco Line is all about? Does it mean the back seam is different than usual?

    • Hello dear Sibilla,

I'm unfortunately just stumped. Your best bet on this is to contact Jobst directly (maybe even through Lymphcare). They can give you the right answer. 🙂

      Lovely wishes
