The compression garment doesn't fit - a case for detective Flatknit

It's mostly annoying and at least really frustrating. You have finally endured these long six months until the new supply, you look forward to it like a small child and eagerly await the call from the medical supply store. You already imagine the new trend color with which you will soon be able to contest everyday life and ... the compression garment doesn't fit.

Oaaahhhr no, [insert any very bad swear word of your choice here]!

Ok, keep a cool head, breathe, don't throw the typewriter on anyone's head. We can do it together.

On the hunt for clues - Detective Flatknit, take over.

I know this is a difficult moment for you guys now. You need this compression, you have waited a long time for it, but the more thoroughly we get on the track of the devil, the sooner you will hopefully be rewarded with the perfectly fitting leg or arm stockings. Let's go through all the suspects and check their alibis:

  • The order
Medical supply stores are filled with good sanifeen and sani-… feerren (that is, male fairies, you know), but sometimes mistakes just happen with the order and that can happen too. After all, we are all human and no one can say that nothing even escapes them at work. So if the wrong color, pattern or accessories come back, it could simply be due to the order or maybe it was a misunderstanding. So just go through the order together again.
  • The dimensions
Another very serious source of error could be the dimensioning. Here it is of great importance to have your measurements taken in the morning so that they are as unadulterated as possible from any lymph. In addition, there is the fact that taking measurements is really complicated and demanding and requires intensive training. Every manufacturer has a different specification and depending on how and with whom your sanitary company works most, something could go wrong here. With some brands, incorrect measurements are unfortunately more of a consequence than with others or you have simply made a mistake or misread. As I said: to err is human.
  • Changes in the body
It can also happen that your findings have changed significantly upwards or downwards and something has changed due to the time between the measure and the collection. Even menstruation or medication may have an impact. If in doubt, your Sanifee should simply measure again randomly before the tights go back forever.
  • Manufacturing process error
Where wood is chopped, splinters must fall. Of course, something can also go wrong in production that is cheated through quality control. Somebody only has to be on vacation once, the other sick, the next one has a fly in the eye and the compression has already fallen into the well. Most of our compression garments are made by hand and errors cannot be ruled out.
  • Multi-part restoration
Some legs are not easy to take care of because of their advanced stage. You need a few tries to achieve the perfect fit. A multi-part supply could be the solution here, if z. For example, your tights quickly move into your crotch, you have problems using the toilet or you lose your strength while putting on them. Let us advise you on which options are available for you.
  • Missing or wrong additions
Some additions work wonders! For example, I feel like I've been since Po-forming body part have to pull up the tights much less often. Some additions could solve your fit problem in no time, such as B. a zipper on the body part, additional anti-slip knobs on the inside or a wider adhesive tape. When making a complaint, state the specific problem area, maybe your Sanifee has an idea how it could be solved soon.
  • The gardener
When in doubt, it is always the gardener, we know that.

Compression fitting does not fit. Watson, we have to file a complaint.

Regardless of which error is present, the case may and must be complained about within the warranty claim. Insists, because only a well-fitting compression garment can endure for six months. Normally your Sanifee will find the error together with you and you don't have to take any further action. But if I'm not outright by numerous others Crime novels had read, this article would probably not be necessary.

The most important thing is to pay attention and keep calm. Put yourself in the shoes of your providers around you and show your willingness to work with them to find the problem. If you can go into the complaint better prepared because of these sources of error, you may be spared one or the other lap of honor.

Just be patient, dear ones, no master detective has fallen from the sky yet. 😉

And how best to handle your compression you can find out in this article.

  • Hello my name is Andrea, I am 30 years old and today I got my first thigh stocking. The worst thing for me is to find out whether something doesn't fit or whether I have to get used to it first. It pinches in the back of the knee, even if the legs are only at right angles, I feel the need to stretch them out again. Well, and at the top of the bundle, I'm constantly wondering where exactly the bundle should be after every use of the toilet. Sometimes it squeezes too much, sometimes something gushes out…. The sanifee says I should wash it tonight and come back tomorrow if I get the same impression. But how do I find out if it's not just my hypersensitivity and inexperience? Many greetings Andrea

    • Hello dear Andrea,

it is best noticeable if you have already washed and put on the compression for a few days. Sometimes the tissue takes a little getting used to. Most of us get used to the compression at some point 🙂 Did you also get a cyclist or just the thigh stockings? That would be rather unusual. You should keep the pressure up to the top.

      Regards
      Caroline

  • Hello, thank you very much for this article. I have had my flat-knitted leggings for a few days and now have the problem that the gusset between my legs always slides down. This seam, which should actually sit under the buttock fold, always slips down to the thigh after a short time. Now I have the problem that my Sanifee is of the opinion that the pants fit really well and that I have to "get used to them".

As a newcomer, how am I supposed to find out whether this is a complaint that is worth changing or whether the problem is due to me?

That makes me really desperate and I suspect that I will not wear the tights with this fit regularly. It is to cry for! 🙁

  • Hallo,

I have now been waiting desperately for my medication to finally fit. And I was patient for 6 months. But now I'm fed up and take Juzo again, because it fitted straight away.
