Lingerie and compression: sexy is my new comfort zone

- Sexy advertising -

I'm sexy Now it is out. Not because others find me beautiful or attractive or undressing. Not because it is somehow officially expected of women, but because I consciously allow myself to feel that way. That didn't happen overnight, as you did through the first and second Part of this series. It was my decision to break the chains that I had put on myself out of uncertainty.

And I promise you one thing, it feels good. Really good.

My body renaissance

Nothing has changed in my body in the past year, except that my head has grown with its challenges and my shoulders have become a lot lighter. I notice so strongly how the confrontation with my supposed weaknesses gets the self-created prejudices out of the way and paves the way for a new body feeling. It literally sets me free.

I take the liberty of feeling sexy. All for myself.

Yes, just for me. Because no one else can make me feel like this if I can't believe it myself.

Self-esteem - Every day is a holiday

Let's put it this way, not every beautiful bra is comfortable. However, not every comfortable bra is beautiful. An important lesson in this self-therapy was not only to save lingerie for special occasions. More and more obsolete models are leaving my wardrobe and are being replaced by really hot devices. What does that do to me? For one thing, I learn to value myself and my bosom.

Something that I do not even give the chance to be nicely packaged cannot send positive acceptance stimuli back to my head.

On the other hand, it gives me confidence. From now on I am well dressed from head to toe, from the outside in. I make an effort down to the last detail and you can imagine that when a great outfit characterizes the body feeling, beautiful underwear puts the cherry on top.

#compressionist

Believe it or not. But this hashtag is very important to me.

I have a thing for art, especially impressionists. Her personal and pictorial way of seeing the world has fascinated me since school. This is how I associate the term compressionist with my painting, my style, my ability to shape my world. To see them with my colors and shapes and to have reinvented myself through the challenge that conservative therapy posed to me.

This also includes incorporating flat knit compression into this revitalization. It is she who gives me strength every day and has inspired my self-therapy. And as you can see, thigh stockings are allowed in their effect, especially with a noble one Swarovski *-Addition and Lace body, do not underestimate.

... and my girlfriend Michaela. She gave me confidence in this experiment and repeatedly encouraged me to go one step further out of my comfort zone. Dear Mitcha, we made it and I thank you so much for your support and wonderful pictures. They opened my eyes and showed me what I am made of.

I'm Caroline, born in 1989 and live in Augsburg. Why did I start the lipedema fashion blog? At the beginning of my diagnosis I was completely helpless before an uncertain future. Now, a few years later, through active participation in self-help groups and a lot of research, I have accumulated a wealth of experience that I would like to make available to other affected persons in one place - without the detour via private groups on Facebook. The fashion component is of course due to my hobby. At the time, I promised myself that I would never be restricted by compression stockings. This attitude gives other patients courage and so Michaela advised me to start a blog.
