Petra Jahrend noticed at an early age that something was wrong with her. But she has only been able to really understand the pain in her body since the late diagnosis of lipedema. She is a sensitive woman who was marked and unsettled by the severe negative experiences in her life. All she wants is a life without suffering and a body that doesn't work against you. A life without malice and ridicule from fellow human beings, who should only damage their body feeling even more. Petra is a person with lipedema as it is in a picture book. With all the dark thoughts that gradually poison you. And at the end of the story, they are presented with the choice to continue or to put an end to the burden.
And yet it has made it this far and beyond. A # lipedema phoenix who has the strength to work to educate people about our disease. He tries to support as many people as possible through their wealth of experience. Among other things with her book Lipedema - Loving Life Crying.
Life is one of the toughest
I got this Schlaubischlumpf saying from my mother and she is right. In Petra's life, happiness and suffering are close together. She tells of the failure of her first love, getting to know her husband, the death of her father and the births of her children. All events in life that have left their mark on your body. And yet she writes impressively and sensitively as she is, about the good and bad aspects, no matter how bad the situation had developed.
I am not a fan of biographies
Reading about the lives of others is not easy for me. I think I am too critical of the authors' decisions and then I cannot really relax while reading. And so I'm all the more surprised that this book should be different. Perhaps because it is Petra's delicate way of describing the emotional states and feels so human. No star with excessive drug abuse, no hit star with eight failed marriages ... A woman like you and me who, despite the setbacks, has shown so much strength and shows us that we can do it too.
A story of growing
The growth takes place in the book Lipedema - Loving Life Crying a major role. The extent of the illness and thus the size of the legs and arms, the sadness in the heart and the sense of community due to the growing network of those affected and the number of family members 😉. These are all factors that increase in the course of life and so did the strength to stand up for us and the cause.
I can warmly recommend everyone who feels alone and every family member who has difficulty understanding the train of thought of a person with lipedema. The almost 100 pages of the biography are accompanied by a great companion work by experts from the network consisting of a doctor, therapist, sufferer, Lipedema Help Germany e. V. and Bauerfeind added.
The book Lipedema - Loving Life Crying by Petra Jahrend was published by Windsor Verlag and may be at Amazon and Thalia for € 16,99 or as an ebook for € 4,99.
