The time has come, lymphology is becoming more and more digital and so it was only a matter of time before it was also available on smartphones. average has taken the first step and launched medi companion. Here you can find out what the app has in store for you and how it can accompany you in everyday life. Wait ... now.
What is an app for?
Yeah, now you're probably thinking
“Ahhh great, an app for those affected by edema. But there are no melons chopped up or jewels exchanged, what can she do? And the most important thing in advance: When will the app put my stockings on? "
Well, that could take a while, as we know from various scenarios of how home robots can get out of control. But until then, let's just get to know the medi companion first. You have to imagine the app as a therapy companion. It gives you important information about compression, exercise, nutrition, health and tips from the community at any time. In addition, you can enter your wearing behavior of the supply and, if you have problems with your compression, come to a solution more quickly by asking specific questions.
A little casual conversation should not be missing, of course, so you help the little knubby Phily with your progress to achieve your and his goals. Don't worry, health and information are of course still in the foreground. However, using the app doesn't feel like work, but a few good, entertaining minutes a day. I mean, knollies. In the very quiet little room and when nobody is listening, I would like little Phily as a cuddly toy. But that remains between us two sisters of prayer. Knick-Knack.

How I use the app
I have set myself the goal of integrating more conscious relaxation into my everyday life. Whenever I lose my strength and pain, a busy schedule or just too much luggage in my head make it difficult to switch off, I want to use such exercises specifically. And what can I say, I have the first small successes to report. Of course it's always a process and takes time, but I have to say that the app really helps me with this. Mainly because I am not alone with this project, but am being taken by the hand in “bite-sized bites”. I also like to accept the movement exercises and recipes, because when you get the inspiration for them so easily accessible, it is often easier for you to try something new.
And now I wish you all the best in achieving your goals and, above all, having fun with the new experiences!
Yoga, great! Nutrition tips, great too!
Unfortunately, the app is too playful for me. I think getting information and everyday tips + a diary for compression is great, I don't need the whole game around it and rather bothers me.
I like the recipes 🙂
I think the app is really good, nicely designed and it contains a lot of specialist knowledge. This is a good way to address the younger clientele, which I find very important. The exercises are great, so it will be easier for many to do them. And for me the best thing is the reminder service when you can get new stockings. And to be honest, the two knobby animals as stuffed animals, that would be great
It's a shame that you can't choose between lip and lymphedema
I think the app is great! Especially the exercise tips. Who would have thought that shoulder circles activated the lymphatic system. I also like to take the recipes to heart.
What annoyed me slightly (I'm not sure if it is the same for everyone) that I had to swipe back to 1990 for my date of birth in the calendar. month for month
It would be nice if the app could be used without an obstacle course. This is how I perceive the query marathon at the beginning. I don't care about the cartoon characters the app starts with (I thought at first I accidentally installed some teenage stuff). Having to set up an account before I even know what the app can do is very demanding. The questions about my diagnosis and my goals are as insignificant as they are intrusive: The diagnosis query does not concern me, I have a mixed form. My goal is to get the most out of my compression and to cope with the daily restrictions. I can't do anything with the detailed questions about the app. When I clicked my way through so far that I saw a card with numbers on it, a path and a lock as a destination, I felt completely on the wrong track and uninstalled the app. An hour later Medi sent me data so that I can log in again despite my deleted account. I don't think that's okay, such data should be deleted immediately and permanently.
The ambitions of the app in the promotional material sound quite good, that's the only reason I dealt with it more intensively than I actually wanted after the first screen. Tips on using compression, recipes, fashion and gymnastics - that really interests me, especially since I've only been wearing compression for a relatively short time. However, the app writers have a strange idea of how I'd like to find out. Should the concept convey empathy? Then less curiosity and more “barrier-free” information would be correct. Should it convey media competence? Then I first expect competent handling of personal data, Medi owes the proof of trustworthiness here. The customer loyalty goal is far too obvious. Customer loyalty with app and account is legitimate, but please with more respect and less playfulness.
I especially like the video tutorials. But the Knubeltierchen is also cute!
What I really like about the app are the general tips and tricks on the subject, but also a lot of theory topics - of course it's also cute that it's a little story - so keep collecting things, etc.
What I think would be great if you could enter more information about the day besides how long you were wearing the compression - perhaps other ways of noticing or tracking any changes / problems
Otherwise keep it up!
Really a great app
I love yoga and relaxation in general. I always need some support for that.
But the nutrition and fashion tips are great.
I don't have any tips for hot days / summer
I think this app is a great helper, especially because of the memories and I can imagine that for all the girls who have just received their diagnosis, the amount of information also helps a lot! It's great that Medi has put so much love into it.
I would think it would be great if mental health were also included more, so that, for example, you can track how much you throw yourself into negative thoughts due to lipedema and at the same time record successes. Memories that you can find yourself great despite lipedema and help with saying positive things to yourself 🙂
I think the story around it is very cute. Lily leads me from one point to another and helps me gather information. Perhaps the diary could be expanded a little.
I like the app and think it's great to get an overview of how long you really wear the Kompri during the day.
A lot of information. Really very successful. Whether you need the gimmick is a matter of taste.
Tips for summer / hot days would be good, it takes too long for me to get to the collection and find a topic, and then a quick return to the collection without intermediate steps would also be great.
Hello Caroline,
Possibly one could still put a "self-management" into the app. Specialists, physiotherapy practices and self-help groups sorted by zip code.

Great app. I like the recipes, nutrition tips ... and through my sister I am too
got into yoga a bit - I like that too.
Nice app, but unfortunately it often doesn't load, so I can't enter the wearing time every day. It would be nice if you could do that afterwards and choose the mixed form of lymph and lipedema at the beginning.
The video exercise instructions are great!
Hello
I have lil and lymphedema
But could only enter lipedema
I couldn't squeeze lymphedema
Just downloaded the app. I'll get my compression stockings first...
Where are the recipes in the app? and where the movement suggestions?
