How do you combine Marlene pants?
Believe it or not, it's been almost 14 years since I wore my Marlene pants for the first time. Because at the time of my confirmation I already had the same pants size around the bottom as I am now wearing.
And to get myself in the right mood for this article, I also watched my first Marlene Dietrich film. And what was No Marlene pants to be seen! Well, ok. It was also a western, but still!
After all, it was the world-famous German actress who made the suit trousers that were actually once socially acceptable for women. And that is one of the important points to consider when handling Marlene trousers. Always try to counterbalance this androgynous item of clothing, otherwise you will quickly appear strict or clumsy. Create highlights, emphasize your silhouette or use feminine colors. So you defuse this so present part and don't let it dominate your look.
Magenta puts you in a good mood
In the years since my arms were diagnosed, I've tried a few colors, but when I saw my new mediven mondi esprit am stockings and gloves in magenta for the first time, it hit me like a blow. What a concentrated load of joie de vivre, a good feeling and strength in this color. And when planning this outfit, I felt almost inspired when I put one and one together. Because I had carried the Marlene pants around with me for so long and I didn't have the brilliant idea to breathe new life into them. Together with the silk shirt of the same color and the clutch, it suddenly felt very easy for me.
Finally a suitable trend for us
Best news of the day: Wide fit pants are back In! Away from skinny or slim jeans, towards wide, wider, Marlene pants. This is our opportunity girls! Just remember that every loose-fit garment should be paired with something that emphasizes something. So if you have a great waist, show it off! Or maybe narrow shoulders? Then she stresses. However, the only enemy with these pants could be your height. Because here, unfortunately, the longer the legs, the better. Just give it a try and see if you can get something out of this flattering classic. Because especially now at Christmas and New Year's Eve, such a noble look could be an absolute eye-catcher!
Have fun experimenting, wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year

Dear Caroline,
the Marlene trousers are a brilliant piece - for lipedema sufferers of severity grades 1 and 2, but with 3 this is no longer possible. Reason: The crotch side is cut too short because the bulges on the inside leg pull everything up. I'm now wearing Aladdin pants and rapper pants. And they have to be very, very far. The normal one-size models no longer work, it has to be XXXL or more.
Even in the most severe degree of severity, it is no longer possible to wear such shoes as you wear them. The weight is so heavy that your feet can no longer hold out. I have to wear kyBun to be able to walk at all, and they have to be adjustable sandals, even now, in winter, when everyone is wearing closed-toe shoes. Because of the pain on the top of the foot.
What do I want to say with all of this? Also look for models and clothes for the worst cases, for those who are already in a wheelchair or those who are about to get on (like me). I am happy to come back to you every now and then. Kind regards, Gaby, lipoedemaic degree 3, type 4, 45 kg me, 61 kg lipoedema growths, 1,58 m small.
