Today I want you to know something about one special Tell me about a form of nutrition that I personally think is great and have not had any really negative experiences with it or have not heard much negative about it. It's about the diet Paleo.
Paleo = stone age diet
In the last few years I have already put various forms of nutrition and diets behind me and have really helped me in the long term, none of them have helped me. About a year ago I came across the Paleo (Stone Age diet) diet. The focus here is on high food quality and sustainability. When changing your diet, you only eat foods that were available to people in the Stone Age. Food that we find in nature or today in the supermarket - today nobody hunts animals anymore or very few grow vegetables and fruit in their own garden.
I personally like the diet very much. There is no need to study the back of the food in the supermarket or buy any expensive additional products.
In addition, our body can use or process these products much better than any ready-made meals, which can often lead to digestive problems due to the many additives.
The main ingredients of the paleo diet
Vegetables, fruits, nuts & seeds, meat & fish, eggs, healthy fats
Not allowed at Paleo
Sugar, cereal products, dairy products, artificial additives, legumes
Another point that I really like is that no wheat is used here. Wheat has an inflammatory effect in the body. I had already given up wheat two years ago and had to realize that I felt much fitter and I was also more efficient.
Small steps in the right direction
I always try to incorporate “paleo days” or “paleo weeks” into my diet. During this time I feel a lot fitter and lighter. Also, I've found that the longer I stay on the diet, the better my skin gets and the better I sleep at night. Why don't I live 100% according to this? I still want to be able to drink a cocktail or eat a piece of cake or pizza on birthdays or when I'm out with friends at the weekend!
My two favorite recipes
1. Sweet potato pan with egg
Ingredients:
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 big sweet potato
4 eggs
a pinch of salt
a pinch of ground pepper
Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into thin strips with a grater. Melt the coconut oil in the pan and add the sweet potato strips to the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt, pepper and spices. Now pour the eggs over the sweet potato pan and fry a little more.
2. Avocado salad with orange
Ingredients:
2 avocados
2 oranges
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper
Slice the avocado, cut into cubes and dug. Peel the oranges and also cut them into cubes. Then prepare the dressing with oil, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. Season to taste with salt, pepper and chilli.
If you like, you can add nuts :-).
Paleo 2 - The Book
At the beginning I got the book Paleo 2 - Stone Age Diet: Power every day. eat • move • sleep • feel [Affiliate] ordered.
Here you will find really simple recipes that you can cook at any time, even without much cooking experience. Some of them go really fast and taste great.
Summary
The Paleo diet is my absolute favorite and, in my opinion, also the healthiest diet change. I consciously say in mean Eyes! I have certainly not tried all types of nutrition so far. With Paleo you don't have to do without essential foods and the body doesn't have to process any tablets or shakes. Basically I don't think much of it. There is a great risk here that you will feel severely restricted and lose the fun of the new diet.
For nutrition programs that are linked to sports programs (e.g. on the Internet), the icing on the cake is often very high costs that have to be paid regularly.
Just try it!
