- Unpaid advertising due to Brand names–
Dear fashion world,
Women whose clothing size is over 42 encounter some hurdles in everyday life. Finding appealing sports fashion is one of them. Yes, we do sports too. Be it for the sake of losing weight or simply as a hobby, opportunity or even for fun. You may not be able to imagine it that well, but sports activities don't end in L / XL. At least not for us. So we want to put the brands in the foreground that are doing pioneering work with the lack of sportswear with fashionable modern standards.
Nike
Nike is on the right track to perceive and serve us as a target group. With an oversize range up to 3XL (size 60!) And a sensible first collection of sports basics, you will definitely find it here. For the future, however, I would like to see more choice in terms of colors and models. However, I am a staunch supporter of the brand and so far have been extremely satisfied with every part that I've bought!

Zhenzi
Zhenzi is a brand that you can buy from the online shop navabi, for example. You can also find it here if you are looking for basic equipment and have a few euros more budget. Personally, I haven't had any experience with this label.
Fabletics
The subscription model of fabletics is not my thing, because I always try not to provoke an overhang in the closet and a subscription naturally counteracts this. Still, I praise the selection and design of the Plus Size line. When I looked at the website, I particularly liked the example of wearing the blogger Gracie Francesca, who with her pronounced curves sets the scene for the fit of the pieces and is close to the target group. If I look at the parts like this, however, I would be personally critical whether they stay in place with compression carriers and do not slip.

Ulla Popken
Probably the most traditional plus size label, of course, also offers plus size sports fashion. At Ulla Popken I am not really satisfied with the selection, however, as it is mostly cotton products and this does not really transport the sweat to the outside.

Good price
If you are looking for very cheap tights, you might find it here. You can find good functional shirts at good price but in vain. The focus is more on outdoor jackets or sweatpants.

Conclusion - plus size sports fashion
What I came across again and again during the research work is the phenomenon that although articles are offered in the respective category of sports fashion, these often have nothing to do with the right functional clothing. Jogging pants, quilted vests or tracksuits are not necessarily used for every workout. It's a shame that the target group is not really taken seriously in this matter. But a change can be felt and we can hope that the fashion world will continue to develop and expand plus size sportswear.

Hello Caroline,
I like the very stylish compression sports pants from Under Amour. Unfortunately, at 46, they fit me in the largest size.
Greetings Madeleine
Hi Caroline,
I've also found some sportswear in large sizes at Decathlon (e.g. my favorite swimsuit with a swimmer's back). Otherwise there are often very good things at Tchibo. However, I can only make statements up to size 46 and I hereby confess that I have never bought pants in the stores mentioned. I only wear the extra strong Kompri as sports pants ...
Hello everyone, I can highly recommend the Longtallsally tights for all women over 1,80m and also (like me) lipedema. Long enough, light compression and me with a real Gr. 48 wear size L and it goes up to XL! At least that's a start, because I always thought that you shouldn't even start exercising over size 40 due to lack of clothing. LG!
Thank you very much for the tip, dear Ellen 🙂
