Pregnancy With Lipedema # 1: A Small Miracle

Pregnancy with lipedema

It has become a little quiet around me. And there is a compelling reason for this that I no longer want to hide from you:

 I'm pregnant.

Zack! Boom! Our dream child is already turning our world upside down. I recently wrote a report on the subject Desire to have children and lipedema. At this point I already knew that it worked for us.

There are many who are interested in pregnancy with lipedema. I would now like to tell you regularly about my feelings and keep you up to date.

If there are any topics that are of particular interest to you on the subject of "pregnancy with lipedema", please write me in the comments. I am happy to answer you and I will take up the topics again in detail in the next few posts.

I am currently in the 1st trimester.

Mood and feelings

We are really looking forward to our little miracle. I am very happy with it and have wonderful support from my family. Of course, I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a little scared too. My first child - an adventure into the unknown.

Desires / dislikes

The list is getting long! I had cravings right at the beginning. It started when I was totally into trail mix and nuts. All of a sudden it turned completely over. Unfortunately, I am currently very affected by pregnancy sickness. 24 hours a day - non-stop. Not a nice feeling, very stressful. I can neither smell nor see food. Coffee? Flesh? Never! It was so far that I got the worst nausea even from a glass of water. I can't open our fridge at the moment, the smell is just unbearable. Fried food, pasta, rice, potatoes, vegetables, fruit ... everything turns my stomach upside down. But I'm lucky that I don't have to throw up. It's just that unspeakable nausea. I also don't like to smell fabric softener at all and our normal laundry detergent really doesn't smell good to me at the moment. That's why I'm currently on sick leave, because I am not able to do my two jobs. I have to make sure that I keep myself alive if you will. Maybe I was just bitten by a genetically modified spider ... Spider Women with super special abilities.

Lipedema

I'm not wearing my compression right now. My normal ones press too much on my stomach. It's really totally uncomfortable. I have already contacted my medical supply store and my pregnancy compression is in the works (more on that as soon as I have it). Otherwise I don't notice any water retention or additional pain. Thank God!

Other ailments

My breasts! Dear ladies, how do you do it? Mine exploded and I already had to buy a new bra. Not that easy, because you don't want to spend a fortune. In addition, it is not exactly painless.

I'm just tired, I could really sleep as much as a marmot. Unfortunately, due to the nausea and tiredness, I am currently unable to do any of my sports activities. It makes me feel bad, but try not to put pressure on myself. I just can't change that right now and try to accept the state.

Pregnancy with lipedema - what can we expect?

At the end of May the neckfold measurement is due and I hope that everything is ok there. I'm scouring the internet for nice children's furniture and I'm looking forward to designing the baby room soon.

Dear ones, I hope you enjoyed the little insight.

    • Hello Antonia,

Thank you very much for your congratulations! It's a really exciting time for us. So far I haven't had any problems with my legs either and I hope it stays that way.
I will get a pair of tights with a maternity body part. I'm very curious how it will wear.

      Lovely wishes
      Anja

      • Hi Anja,

two questions: what must be on the prescription if you get compression tights for the SSW?
Can this “grow” over the whole week of pregnancy (if of course it is kept within certain limits)?

It would be nice if you could help me there 🙂

        • Hey teresa,
Unfortunately, I can't tell you what exactly must be on the recipe. For me it always goes straight to the medical supply store. In any case, the pregnancy must be given as the reason. I got that much.

There are body parts that should grow with you. But to what extent this is possible I cannot judge. I have been told until now that it is chr. will stick to pregnancy compression. I'll just let myself be surprised now. Have an appointment at my medical supply store tomorrow, maybe I'll know a little more afterwards.

          Best regards,
          Anja

          • Hi Anja,

thank you for this quick response and thank you (her) for letting us participate in all of these experiences!
This means that you go to the doctor / sanitary facility much more self-confidently and with more information, or you can protect yourself better that something is not being sold by the horse 😀 Unfortunately, many offices (experts!) Are still less well informed than those affected.

            LG

  • Congratulations. Maybe sea bands can help you against the permanent nausea. It helped me a lot. Just google it. All the best for you and the belly dwarf

  • Congratulations! I am curious how it all works with the compression and how it goes on with you! Wish you the very best 🙂
