Fairy tales in compression: Little Red Riding Hood

Granted, none of us really take compression voluntarily. If we didn't need it, we wouldn't be faced with the same test of patience every day to put it on and wear it for the day.

Now, after the arm diagnosis and the associated arm compression, I am known to have chosen to flee forwards and to do everything in my power to this day to at least take away the optical horror of the compression. Fortunately, I'm not alone in this. So many admirable women take all the courage together, are open to their supplies and use them fashionably with fun.

One of them is the magical Jasmine. She is not only involved in her local self-help group, but also likes to take photos for her life. So it came about that she asked me if we would like to bring compression into the world of the Brothers Grimm for her fairy tale picture series.

Fairy tale? Compression? I'm so on board!

The moral of the story

What can I say, look at these wonderful pictures! The compression fits so naturally into the scenery that you almost believe that it couldn't be otherwise. And that's exactly the moral of my story. The more you try to incorporate the compression garment into an outfit, the better it merges with it and, in the end, makes for a great feeling! With the perfect look, I feel perfectly prepared for the day, then nothing stands in my way - not even lipedema.

I'm Caroline, born in 1989 and live in Augsburg. Why did I start the lipedema fashion blog? At the beginning of my diagnosis I was completely helpless before an uncertain future. Now, a few years later, through active participation in self-help groups and a lot of research, I have accumulated a wealth of experience that I would like to make available to other affected persons in one place - without the detour via private groups on Facebook. The fashion component is of course due to my hobby. At the time, I promised myself that I would never be restricted by compression stockings. This attitude gives other patients courage and so Michaela advised me to start a blog.
