It was an exciting, very stressful and stressful time. Shortly before the wedding, my nerves were really on edge. There was a lot to organize and plan. I have been plagued by nightmares of falling cakes, kinking pumps or missed outings while dancing. You think little things? Unfortunately not for me ... it should all be perfect and looking back I can say that it was.
I would like to tell you about one of the most beautiful days in my life: my wedding.
The preparations
October 01.10.2016st, 6 started for me at 30:XNUMX a.m. with the alarm clock ringing. A quick breakfast and then I went to my parents. Where the hairdresser was already waiting. Exciting, I tell you! So I was styled, made up and prepared for about three hours until the result was ready. A quick look in the mirror and I was ecstatic. I found myself beautiful.
My civil wedding
My father took my grandma and my mom to the registry office. Now I was sitting at home alone. Time passed slowly and I nervously paced back and forth in the house, waiting for the clock to strike 13pm. This is my departure time. Then it starts. Because at 13:30 p.m. I would be in the registry office and say "Yes!" Everything that I had previously organized had to be done by other people. I was nervous and hoped everything would work out. My thoughts deepened when my father stood in front of me again and said it was time. So let's go!
We drove the decorated car on the country road and despite everything we were still too early. We stopped on a hill just before the registry office, a little conversation took place before we drove on and finally reached our destination. The registrar and the photographer were already waiting, all guests were already in the hall. We were warmly welcomed and while everything went smoothly, my legs began a little life of their own ... They trembled in their dance of joy.
The long wait ends
My father and I were now in the hall below the hall. We waited for the sign. Neither of us said anything. We just listened to the noises. We heard guitars joining in briefly, quiet whispering and nervous running back and forth. PimPimPim, the music began to play and we knew, now it's our turn. Slowly it went up the stairs and into the hall. My husband was already there. He looked handsome in his blue suit with the jewelry vest. I could see slightly moist eyes in him too. At that moment there was just him and me. I knew it was the best decision of my life. An indescribable feeling.
We listened to the musicians Martin and Luka. The registrar told us something about us, about love and marriage. All of me by John Legend our artists performed and not a single eye remained dry. I was crying and my father was snorting behind me. The registrar allowed herself a little joke about "like father, like daughter". After this wonderful song we said yes and the first kiss as a married couple. I'll be completely honest, I was so nervous and everything was buzzing in my head - I didn't notice that much of the registrar's speech, but at least I didn't miss the point to say “yes”. Happy and satisfied family and friends now congratulated us. A nice moment.
Every drop is a blessing
When we stepped out of the registry office we were greeted with flowers and rice. Incidentally, rice stands for a happy, fruitful marriage. Well let's see what's in store for us. Unfortunately, at this point in time the weather became very dark and it became cold and windy. Dark clouds hung over us and threatened with rain. This was not long in coming and we had just enough time for the wedding photos in the park. But as the saying goes, "Every drop is a blessing".
After the champagne reception in the restaurant and the handing over of the many, many presents (thank you to everyone!) We invited them to coffee and cake. Of course, cutting the wedding cake was not to be missed. Who had the hand up? Of course my husband! You know that men are ALWAYS left to believe that they have their pants on!
The party
In a short rain break we were even able to let our beautiful balloons rise. We were really lucky! Shortly afterwards it started to rain again as if from buckets. So much blessing and only for us. Games and happy being together followed. Our wedding dance should clear the dance floor. We had practiced for him for a long time, had dance lessons, and yet we were unsure. We are not really dancers. So we asked Martin and Luka to go outside during a rain break to practice again before the “performance”. It was already dark, I think it was around 21 p.m.
We stood in the dim light under a street lamp. We looked deep into each other's eyes and the musicians began our waltz "A thousand years" by Christina Perri to play and dance like we've always done, like our feet were made for nothing else. As if there was only one last dance. That was my best experience that day. Because this one private dance was OUR dance. Later they did the wedding dance in front of the guests and the evening went on lively.
A new feeling after the wedding
I'm very happy with how that day went, I couldn't have wished for better. Being married actually reinforces the relationship. I myself didn't think that anything would change through the consummation of the marriage, but I can now confirm that it is a very nice feeling.
I would also like to thank all the well-wishers from the social networks! You are all great!
I have a few more tips for your wedding:
- On that day I replaced my compression stockings with really good support tights from a specialist store (about 15 €), this alternative worked wonderfully for me that day.
- Table cameras: We rented digital cameras. In terms of price, five digital cameras cost as much as buying 10 single-use cameras, a return receipt is even included. We thought this alternative was great!
- If you plan to launch balloons, make sure that you have balloons suitable for helium. If you want to increase cards with you, please pay attention to a card that has a low weight. Otherwise the balloon may not go up.
- A good DJ or live music is half the battle.
- Just have fun, even if something goes wrong.
With this in mind, I wish you all the best!
Best wishes for your wedding!
I wish you all the luck in the world, health, wonderful experiences and good cohesion.
I was a very magical bride and groom - especially you, dear Anja, in your beautiful wedding dress and great hairstyle
I read your heartbreaking story with a lot of joy. Fantastic - Thank you very much
Kind regards, your Sigrid Marchetto, NRW
