we all love her and we all hate her. By "she" I mean boots. They are never available in the sizes we can use, they are never wide enough to encircle our calves. I see so many women on the street wearing beautiful boots and then I always get very sad. I want it, too.
It's actually really sad that there is nothing out of the norm in retail. If a woman has small feet, large feet, wide feet, narrow feet, strong calves, slim calves ... and whoosh, you won't find anything that really fits and looks good.

I came across a shop on the Internet that is dedicated to exactly what I'm looking for. Shoes for star women - wide shaft boots. The Wide shaft boot shop offers a really large selection of boots sorted according to your calf size (you only have to take measurements once). I was really surprised that there can be so much choice. I would now like to introduce you to my booty - my first really great boots!
You sit really comfortably. I had the shoes sorted using the filters and then selected them. I was a little concerned whether you would really fit. But also because of the lacing on the back of the shoe, I can customize it, which is really fabulous. I have seen several boots in the shop that have rubber inserts in order to achieve an optimal fit. The whole thing looks really nice!
I recommend this shop to all shoe lovers - the days when lipedema patients could not wear boots are over!
What do these wide boots mean for me personally?
I think it's so incredibly important myself that I can wear exactly what others wear. Because of my illness, I don't want to have to go without anything, I want to belong and not hide. For me, a pair of boots are not just a pair of boots - for me they are a statement that I have finally arrived at the point! We belong to society as we are!

Wide shaft boots are really, really hard to come by. Just because I have thicker legs

That's exactly what I think. We are modern women with a problem area that you can basically cover up if you only find the right means. Finding great wide boots is almost a life's work.

Another tip if boots no longer fit after the lipedema has worsened: a good cobbler can sometimes sew in a wedge made of suitable leather. That worked well with my black boots and is not noticeable at all. Since I had left a lot of money in the shop for the boots and had been looking for them for ages, I would have been very sad not to be able to wear them anymore. All the best!
