Sport with lipedema: YOGA - sport and relaxation

YOGA-Exercises tone and strengthen the body, in doing so they will also help you find a better way to be more balanced I to find. An all-inclusive program, so to speak. YOGA can relax, strengthen, invigorate and let you get out of breath!

Since we often cannot find peace with our thoughts about lipedema, is YOGA a nice balance. You only need one YOGA-Mat / sleeping mat and comfortable clothes. It is best to do yoga barefoot to have a better stance.

I have prepared three basic exercises for you. These are suitable for beginners and will show you how easy it is YOGA is.

  • Hello!

I think your blog is really wonderful!

I only have one small question: Many pages say you shouldn't do sports with lipedema without compression stockings (except swimming, of course). However, in your pictures you are barefoot.

Since I have decided to try out yoga for myself and will do a trial lesson in a yoga studio, I would like to know if you think it would be better to leave my stockings on (I've heard it works with stop socks) or barefoot like everyone else .

    Best regards,
    Jessica

    • Hello Jessica,

First of all, many thanks for your feedback!
It's great that you want to try yoga and I hope you enjoy it. In the photos I am still wearing my old leggings from Jobst without a footboard. It doesn't stand out at all. In any case, I would recommend you to try compression. It may be that she doesn't mind at all. As a tip: wear non-slip socks (over the Kompri) or sneakers. Positions like the dog looking down are no problem either.

      greetings
      Anja
